How does credit work?

Every time you apply for a loan, lenders check your credit profile
to see if you have a good credit history.

If you pay your loans back on time it affects your credit profile positively.

If you pay late or miss payments it affects your credit profile negatively.

What is a credit report?

A credit report is a description of your credit history and payment behaviour that is maintained by credit bureaus, including TransUnion.

It contains information such as your name, address, employer name and NRC Number - the details you give to lenders when completing a credit application form.

How do I get my credit report?

Call us on 0211 220 530/36/420500 and 0955985107/5307, or send an email to CustomerCareZM@transunion.com to obtain a credit report dispute form and then follow the instructions.

Note: Once your completed request form and certified copy of your NRC have been received, our customer services team will issue your credit report within five days.
